Is it possible to Synchronize our global address list without a trust to our partner’s domain?

Yes, you can synchronize any global addresslist information without the need for any trust, as long as you have valid credentials and a working network connection.

Can we synchronize user and groups as users and groups (without the world icon in front of the recipient in the taget addressbook)?

Yes, with ADSynch Light you also can synchronize user objects and group objects whilst keeping them real user and group objects without the “external recipient” sign if required.

I do not know much about LDAP or the technical details of Active Directory / Exchange – can you still help me setting up a global addressbook synchronization?

Yes, ADSynch Light comes with template that includes most required settings, including a suggested list of the most commonly used fields for GAL replication. By using these you will not need to know the technical details of neither Active Directory nor Exchange.

We have a very large organization with more than 100.000 account. We even have more groups and also public folders. How easy and how performing could we synchronize our GALs with ADSynch Light? Can it also be used for integration of the organizations, which is planned later?

ADSynch Light is in use in very large organizations and has been optimised for speed. Each change is reported back to you and a nive summary of changes are reported via mail. Everything is setup and maintained using a GUI which presents you with an clear overview of all settings and synchronization results.

ADSynch Light also can be used before and for migrations purposes. it quickly pushes all desired information into the target directories and keep it up to date until migration of the objects in question are finished.

Our environment requires special tasks to be performed whenever there are changes on a synchronized user object. Can we call our internal scripts whenever changes occur?

For every attribute mapping you can also use any scripting command you like, calling external scripts, writing changes into a database, … You can completely control the actions performed.

What rights are required when using your products?

Every one of our product allows to supply crededentials for the account reading the source, and for the account writing to the target. This way you can apply a minimum permission strategy using an account with only read access on the source side, and another account with right access in the one target container where you are going to place the objects. For no action administrator rights, or equivalent are required.
